Green light for the Jinko N-Type – better resistance and advanced technologies for all your projects

Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. is one of the most well-known companies at the cutting-edge of solar technologies. Its business covers the main links in the photovoltaic industry chain with special focus on research and development of photovoltaic products and clean energy solutions. Jinko Solar products have been used by more than 3,000 customers in over 160 countries around the world recently and the company has been the number one global supplier of modules for many years. By the end of March 2022, cumulative supplies of Jinko Solar modules exceeded 100 GW. Jinko Solar is an industry leader and also the first company in the solar business to join the RE100 green initiative.

Tiger Series by Jinko

Jinko has been concentrating on the development and production of Tiger N-type modules equipped with the advanced Multi-busbar + Tiling Ribbon + Half Cut technologies in combination with the highly efficient Jinko cells since 2020.

        • Resistance to extreme weather conditions
        • Better capture of light improves module performance and reliability
        • The 9BB technology reduces the distance between the busbars and fingers (the grid lines), thus improving the system output
        • In addition, the technology utilises the circular ribbon connections, which efficiently reduce a risk of cracks and other kinds of damage
        • The N-type module equipped with Hot 2.0 technology offers higher reliability and a lower LID/LETID ratio (LID refers to light-induced degradation, LETID refers to light and elevated temperature-induced degradation)
        • Excellent anti-PID performance guaranteed due to an optimised production process and material control
        • The Tiling Ribbon (TR) Technology with Half Cells is designed to eliminate gaps between cells and improve module efficiency
        • 15-year warranty for the product, 30-year warranty for its linear output degradation
        • Certified for resistance: wind load (2,400 Pa) and snow load (5,400 Pa).

With monocrystalline Tiger N-type modules:

        • Degradation during the first year is 1.0 %, followed by 0.4 % per year up to the expiry of the output warranty, which is 30 years. The actual output at the end of the warranty period should not be lower than 87.4 % of the nominal output.

New Jinko Solar N-Type modules are now in stock at Solarity

Although the N-type modules represent a relatively small percentage of the market, there are signs that the situation is going to change in the near future. Compared to the P-type, this type of module has many advantages, such as a lower degradation rate and longer warranty period. We at Solarity closely monitor market demand and technological trends, so you can expect primarily N-type modules in stock in the coming months.

You can find more information on the modules in the webinar that we organised with Jinko Solar Technical Service Manager Johanna Bonila. The webinar is available in English. If you need more help before making a decision, don’t hesitate to contact us.
