SolarWorld founder and CEO buys company’s assets

SolarWorld’s creditors have agreed to the purchase and transfer of SolarWorld production sites in Germany to Frank Asbeck, the company’s founder and CEO. Consequently, 500 employees from prodution sites in Freiberg and Arnstadt will be able to continue in their production roles.

The establishment of a transfer company is planned for the remaining employees at the two locations – a figure in the region of 1,200 staff.
