Sharp increasing PV module outsourcing to stem losses and sales decline

Sales in its Energy Solutions division, which houses its PV business, were down 46.6%, compared to the prior year period. Sales totalled ¥36.8 billion (US$296.1million) in the first quarter, compared to US$555.2 million in the prior year period. Loss in the first quarter of FY2015 was around US$31.3 million.
